Job Overview:


The Weapon, Sensor, Combat System Integrator at Noahtu Shipyard will spearhead the integration, testing, and optimization of weapon systems, sensor technologies, and combat systems onboard naval vessels and maritime platforms. The incumbent will collaborate closely with engineering teams, defense contractors, and military personnel to ensure the seamless integration and superior performance of combat systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Integration Leadership: Lead the integration efforts for weapon systems, sensor technologies, and combat systems onboard naval vessels and maritime platforms. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and effective integration of diverse systems.
  2. Technical Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive technical plans, integration schedules, and execution strategies for weapon, sensor, and combat system integration projects. Coordinate closely with stakeholders to align project objectives with operational requirements and technical specifications.
  3. System Configuration Management: Oversee configuration management processes for weapon, sensor, and combat systems, ensuring proper documentation, version control, and change management. Maintain accurate records of system configurations and integration updates throughout the project lifecycle.
  4. Testing and Validation: Design and execute rigorous testing, verification, and validation protocols to assess the performance, functionality, and interoperability of integrated combat systems. Develop test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria to evaluate system readiness and compliance.
  5. Technical Troubleshooting and Resolution: Identify and resolve technical issues, anomalies, and integration challenges encountered during system integration and testing activities. Collaborate with engineering teams and subcontractors to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
  6. Documentation and Reporting: Generate comprehensive documentation, technical reports, and integration logs to capture integration activities, test results, and system performance data. Provide regular progress updates and status reports to project stakeholders and management.
  7. Training and Knowledge Transfer: Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions to shipyard personnel, naval crews, and end-users on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of integrated combat systems. Ensure user proficiency and compliance with operational procedures and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degree or specialized training in combat systems integration is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in weapon systems integration, sensor technologies, and combat systems integration within the naval or defense industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of naval platform design, combat system architectures, and maritime operations.
  • Proficiency in integration tools, simulation software, and test equipment used in combat system integration projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance and adhere to confidentiality requirements.
